Here We Go Again!!!!!!!!!!

It is that time of year again when we all come together and picth into clean up Lake RIm. As one of the only Public Fishing Lakes in Fayetteville, Lake Rim has become deluged with trash over the years. The Fayetteville Anglers will be conducting a clean-up of the lake and surrounding area in an effort to help restore some of the lake's beauty. Also, we are hoping to some awareness to the littering problems that exist at this fishing area that so many from Fayetteville and Fort Bragg enjoy. This is a very large task for our small group and we are inviting the community and our fellow anglers to join us in this endeavor. If interested you are interested in making a difference as a Sportsman and a citizen of Cumberland County. Please. rsvp and join us as we do our small part in giving Lake Rim a much needed face lift.
The clean up is scheduled for 8 June 2013 8:30

If you know others that would like to join in , or you would like to have a flier to post here is a down load of this years flier.

I want to thank every one for coming out and making this happen. As you can looking back at the previous years you see the pile of trash is getting smaller. Hopefully we are making a impact and in influencing the community to take a little more responsibility for their lake. Any way it was a good day and hope everyone had a good time.

ONLY TWO DAYS

I wanted to remind you that the Fayetteville Area Anglers' Network will be conducting our annual clean up of Lake Rim on Saturday, June 9th, 2012 .  This is part of our community effort to preserve the beauty of the one of Fayetteville's only public fishing areas. Lake Rim is located at 7490 Raeford Road, Fayetteville NC 28304 and we will meet at the boat ramp on the eastern side of the lake at 8:30am on Saturday morning. We plan to be finished by 11:00am. You can particpate by helping with the clean-up of the park areas and the lake shore line or using your canoe or kayak to help remove distant trash from lake that can't be reached by land.  You can add your name to attending roster by emailing me at t.carpenter@fayettevilleanglers.com or by calling 910-494-2757. Also, I will be happy to answer questions that you may have.
